About C.R.A.F.T.
Channeling Raw Art From Thought
Craft was born in Brooklyn and raised on the south side of Jamaica, Queens—a landscape alive with rhythm, rebellion, and resilience. His journey began in the mid-80s, during hip hop’s golden era, when lyrical giants like Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, and Nas dominated the airwaves. Their wordplay and unapologetic truths ignited a spark within him. A childhood friend, Rohan Nuefville, known as “LO,” recognized his potential and encouraged him to pick up the pen, tapping into his raw gift for crafting lyrics.
What began as an outlet for expression during a reckless chapter of life evolved into salvation. Personal trials, hard lessons, and turbulent experiences—including a lengthy imprisonment—shaped his voice and sharpened his perspective. It was there that he encountered a fellow prisoner who introduced him to the transformative power of spoken word poetry. Those first verses planted the seeds of his evolution, where rhythm met reflection, and raw emotion transformed into art.
Today, C.R.A.F.T. is an architect of narratives that push boundaries and challenge conventions. Whether through hip hop lyrics, spoken word performances, or forbidden tales of eroticism and truth, his work emerges from the deepest chambers of the soul. Each word is cast as a spell, each story a mirror, each rhyme a call to action.
